I'm dealing with only 90% of my colon and 5 feet of intestine left while trying to maintain a cheery face/attitude on a everyday basis. Which, I've decided, on most days, I do. At the beginning of my new life I did not realize how grateful I would become for the opportunity to continue living and will see what the Creator has in store for me. * *BTW: shitz* - Just another way of saying crap, (noun), and is used to express anger or frustration or confusion or excitement etc... Take your pick

My give a -----
Had a NORMAL bowel movement this morning.... A NORMAL one you HEAR ME ~ ~! ! ! ! ! ! ! Absolutely in-frikken-credible. Here are my weight stats as of this AM:
*****************************************************************
Not very nice but I'm posting anyway.........
Last 10 days stats are pretty good and I/we cannot figure out what I am doing so different as to cause this to happen. I am hitting the 2 year mark where all the docs agree that by this time I should be normalizing. In essence if the small intestine was to expand to compensate for being so short it would occur with this time period. Maybe they got something right ! ! !
On an emotional high right now.......

Nothing Special
Just a quick Yesterday was another great day, so great that I am really expecting to fall down. I walked so much that I hurt today but that is a good thing. I visited the new Harbor Freight store on Corrales/Old Airport road, went to Big Lots, K-Mart, Wal-Mart, and the new Dick's Sporting Goods store and the finale was going to KABOOM-Test Labs. Just being out for that amount of time - -wait I forgot about going to Savers and Goodwill also - - with worrying about having to go to the bathroom is so cool ! !!
Found some yard games for the grand kids, Ladder Toss, Corn Hole (stupid name!!) and washers but am not sure if we will buy that one.
Dicks had the nicest one but then we found out that they already owned them. Bummer...
But then we found this at Walmart:
and bought it along with this one:
Lets hope they don't have these...
Also think maybe we are going to buy the marshmallow shooting gun. That ought to make the daughter happy - -grin.

B-12 shot
Received my 2nd vitamin B-12 shot yesterday afternoon and I must say the nurse did a good job. Never even felt it go in whereas the last weeks shot hurt like the dickens. I kinda think I know why too. I watched the nurse this time and I saw that she changed needles. I asked her about that and she said that she uses a bigger gauge needle to draw in the B-12 liquid and then changes it out for a smaller gauge when she uses it on me. Makes a ton of sense now that I know that so maybe the other nurse never changed out the needle and I got 'big' one.
Once again I will say (hope I don't jinx myself ....hope I don't jinx myself....hope I don't jinx myself....hope I don't jinx myself)
This is the 4th week in a row that I have felt wonderful. I guess my emotional well being is tied directly into my physical well being, something I never quite realized before.

Don't quite understand why the web address does not show up as a link but you can just copy and paste into your browser and it will work. Some interesting information there.

3rd Post for Thursday - 21 June 2012
Finished up the yards came in to check e-mail then decided to blog hop. You know keep hitting next on the top of the blog
Well, ran across a blog dedicated to poetry and that led me to recalling the only poem I ever memorized. Don't remember who told it to me, where I read it or anything.
Might of done this here before but don't remember.
Rains came
and lasted forever
No Noah
No Ark
Many drowned
Me too.
Sorta dark I guess
2nd post today - Whoopy Stupidberg - AAARRRRGGGHHHH
Was out side mowing the lawn and came in to the house to get a drink. TV was on and "The View" was playing and these folks were discussing the School bus bullying incident.
For the story see:

or

What caught my ears was Whoopie/Whoopy stating that maybe the lady on the buss might be just to old to be able to handle these kids......What the HELL???? That stupid cow was blaming the adult for letting the kids bully her????? Where in the devil or why are not the children being held responsible and some form of punishment being meted out? What kind of misplaced progressive thought is this? Blame the victim and not the perpetrators.
Sheesh ...No darn wonder the US is like this anymore... AAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Why worry
I know it is barely 8 AM but I thought I would say a few "things" while they were fresh. I wished I was a better writer or wrote a higher level so maybe my written articulation would come across a tad more sophisticated.
Oh well it is what it is........ (& I really hate that saying! !)
My wife had just left for work and I thought I would do the dishes just to have the counter top clean. (kinda anal retentive I know - they could have just as easily gone into the dishwasher). Anyway while washing the dishes I glanced up to my left and saw the "Why Worry" poster board hanging on the side of the cabinet and it made tears come to me eyes.
Why the stupid tears? What the h$ll is the matter with me? I was never an emotional person and other than anger never experienced the softer side of the emotional spectrum. If that makes any sense to anyone at all ?
Maybe because I croaked and revived a couple of times? Maybe I now understand life a little bit better than before 9 July 2010?
Anyway, while looking at and rereading the sign I started thinking about my mother-in-law who died in 1998. Talk about a garrulous, grumpy, funny person, that definitely was Polly. She could go from a happy go lucky person to chewing on my ass in a New York second and I realized that I actually missed her. Darn.
She gave me this several years before she died and I/we have hung it in our kitchen(s) as she had done.
Anyhew, so this post and a scanned copy of Why Worry and a little bit about Polly is now part of the netherworld of the internet and back to the dishes I go.

Deserter
Had a discussion with a friend yesterday evening about this guy (the deserter) so I decided to see what else I could find. Hey, I even had someone nice enough to comment on it. And while I totally agree with what she says it just added to me wanting to see what more is out there. At least on the web.
Regarding David Hemler from the other day where I posted the story of him being a deserter....
Couple of other websites dealing with this puke - -sorry I mean sad human being.

http://thisainthell.us/blog/?p=30418 (not because I'm a mean spirited person but I do find this one I as funny because of the mean things other folks have to say.
And under the guise of Categories: SOCIETY'S COLLAPSE, this end of days website covered this story.... God, I am just so out of it....geez
I found this comment on a site and I thinks it articulates almost how I feel.
"This guy CHOSE to join the Air Force. There was no draft and getting out was easy. What was his problem? He was most likely too lazy to actually live by the rules and decided to just run away. All he had to do was just not do whatever he was told and they would have been happy to get rid of him. (this is the flipping truth!) His family is the ones who have suffered. His poor parents, not knowing if he was alive or dead. That was torture for them. Not to mention the umbrella of suspicion they have lived under all these years. No doubt the FBI, AFOSI, CIA and other agencies have been looking into his family's activities off and on over the years. No he hasn't had to suffer at all, he needs to be court martialled and spend time in prison."
Oh well...... Honor, ethics, commitment....... maybe I am the one out of touch with reality because it does seem like a lot of folks are sticking up for this guy. Maybe it is just the vocal progressives.. sheesh.. again what the heck do I know.
The New York Times did a little more in depth article. Worth reading.

He's
not dangerous physically, it's probably what he knows.
He was a russian linguist
was the USAF.
I had a feeling when I saw Germany.
My brother was the same, he
used to tell me that Germany was the most popular base to be requested.
My db
went to Italy and then the NSA.
They spent alot of time on that guy,
doing an extensive background check for that top clearance, training him to
speak russian at Lakland AFB, and then he gets the cush base and goes AWOL. IMO
he should get more then a slap on the hand but that's

On a more lighthearted note.
Saw this the other day and I kinda emphasize
And this because I do.

Little girl
I really don't want to jinx myself BUT this last week has been the best week in the last 2 years. Both physically and emotionally ! ! ! ! Weight has been at or above 140 lbs for a week straight, I have had energy and not so tired, and I believe it all stems from getting the B-12 shot. "Things" were starting to get better but the B-12 shot just put me over the top - so to speak.
Father's day was nice. Potted around the house not really doing much. Had a steak and cheese bread for dinner and received a call from my daughter wishing me Happy Father's day. Neat. Also discussed what we can do while the grand kids are here over the 4th of July. Maybe pick up a few outside games like corn hole, washers, and ladder to play.
Looking forward to the visit.

Don't quite know why I giggled when I read this:
Bill Maher was seated next
to a little girl on an airplane, turned to her and said, "Do you want to
talk? Flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow
passenger."
The little girl, who had just started to read her book, replied "What would
you want to talk about?"
" Oh, I don't know," said Maher "How about why there is no GOD,
or no Heaven or Hell, or no life after death?" as he smiled smugly.
"OK," she said. "Those could be interesting topics but let me
ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff -
grass. Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns
out a flat patty, but a horse produces clumps. Why do you suppose that
is?"
Maher, visibly surprised by the little girl's intelligence, thinks about it and
says, "Hmmm, I have no idea.."
To which the little girl replies, "Do you really feel qualified to discuss
why there is no GOD, or no Heaven or Hell, or no life after death, when you
don't know crap?"
And then she went back to reading...

For me this is very disturbing and this puke is just plain disgusting ! ! !
(Reuters) - A U.S. Air Force deserter who has lived secretly in Sweden since 1984 has revealed his identity and contacted his family in the United States who were overwhelmed to hear he was still alive, a Swedish newspaper reported at the weekend.
Dagens Nyheter said David Hemler had deserted aged 21 while serving at a U.S. Air Force base in Germany, after getting involved with a pacifist church and becoming disillusioned with the policies of former President Ronald Reagan.
He hitchhiked via Denmark to Sweden where he settled down, living under an assumed name for the last 28 years and not revealing his true identity to anyone.
"I never planned on not telling the truth in the beginning. I intended to come to Sweden until I felt better (after his experience in the airforce), I expected a week or so," Hemler told the newspaper in a video on its website.
Now aged 49, he is married to a woman from Thailand, has three children and works for a Swedish government agency, but would not let the newspaper print his assumed name.
After his desertion, he became one of the U.S. Air Force's eight most wanted fugitives, according to the newspaper, and had expected at any time to be arrested by military police with both Interpol and Europol looking for him.
Hemler told the newspaper he had missed his parents after he deserted but went on to have a child and had not wanted to be separated from her.
He had decided to come forward after his third daughter turned two and could go to day care, so his wife would be better able to cope if he was arrested.
He first contacted his U.S. family four weeks ago, speaking to his brother Thomas who was in Massachusetts at the time on a business trip.
"DREAM SCENARIO"
"I heard immediately it was David, even if he had a strange European accent after all these years," Thomas Hemler, who lives in New Jersey, was quoted on Sunday as saying.
He said he had asked questions to confirm the man was indeed his brother David. Members of his family in the United States are now planning to visit him in Sweden.
The website of the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations lists Hemler, who was born in Pennsylvania, as having deserted on February 10, 1984 from the 6913th Electronic Security Squadron in Augsburg, Germany.
Its Air Force Fugitives page shows a photo of Hemler as a young man, and a photo digitally enhanced to show how he might look aged 47.
The newspaper said Hemler was registered in Sweden as a citizen of an unknown country who was born in Zurich.
His lawyer, Emma Persson, told Reuters he had approached her firm for legal advice about a month ago.
"My opinion is that he will not lose his permanent residence permit in Sweden, it is very unlikely," she said. She also thought it unlikely he would be extradited to the United States.
A U.S. embassy spokesman declined to comment on the case.
"My dream scenario is that the responsible authorities realize I have already been punished quite severely for my actions ... I have been living 28 years in lies," Hemler said.

15 June 12, Friday, test results
Yesterday was interesting. I received my 1st B-12 injection/shot in my hip. Nurse told me to expect a sudden boost in my energy level or maybe just a gradual increase. Gee talk about circularity (circular logic). I will admit I woke up this morning feeling pretty good even though I had a restless night. Will be going back in a week to get another shot of B-12.
My coumadin level was really high: 3.9 to be exact. Only reason we , doc and I, could figure out why it was so high is was because I have been doing so well with gaining weight and the amount of times I have NOT been going to the bathroom.
Redid my dosage of Warfarin to 1/2 table (.5 mg) every night. Will go back in two weeks to see how that dosage is working. Only concern was if I had shown any excessive bleeding which I have not.
Amazing that it has been this long since I fell down and played dead.
Because it is now Friday 6/15/2012 at 10:44:33 AM it has been
1 year 10 months 25 days 15 hours 9 minutes 33 seconds or
99 weekends or 696 days or 16,695 hours (11,130 waking hours) or
1,001,709 minutes or 60,102,573 seconds
fell down and died. I guess I just need to quit whining about what happened and make do with what I have. And you know that is a lot. Have a great daughter who has made some really good life decisions, a couple of gorgeous grand kids (not that there is any gran-parental pride there), a neat little doggie - see prior posts - a wife that has stuck by me in the rough times and whom I have come to love even more with the passing of time.
It is now Friday 6/15/2012 at 10:48:19 AM
We have been married since 10/5/1974 07:00 AM and that would mean -
37 years 8 months 10 days 3 hours 48 minutes 19 seconds or 1,966 weekends or
13,768 days or 330,435 hours (220,290 waking hours) or 19,826,148 minutes or
1,189,568,899 seconds. Wonder if I will live long enough to see 40 years?
A long time.

Tuesday the 12th weight chart
It is starting to scare me a little bit. I'm starting to put on weight but I believe it is mainly water. Just waiting for everything to come crashing down on me. The last time I worked hard to bring my weight up was just prior to Thanksgiving of last year. Got to a 149 lbs and was super happy but then we know how fast I came crashing down and spent the week of xmas in the hospital and came out 25 lbs lighter.

Yep, your unions still looking out for you ! ! !
I can remember the days, late 60's, whilst I was a dutiful dues paying member of a union (same one depicted in the below story) while I worked in the local plastic plant located in Andover, Ohio. We were on strike and for being on the picket line we were paid a fifth of Seagrams. That just warmed the cockles of my heart. The union finally settled, and get this, for a nickel an hour raise and they gave up cost of living increases. Yep unions will always look out for ya...

Union, board settle beef over eats
SHARPSVILLE —
Union workers in the Sharpsville Area School District cafeteria were the victors in a dispute with the school over what they could, and could not eat.
Members of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees filed the grievance in 2011, according to the settlement which was approved by a unanimous vote of the school board May 21.
The board’s solicitor Bob Tesone approved the release of a copy of the three-page resolution this week following an earlier request by The Herald.
The grievance was based on the allegation that the school district “violated established past practice” in charging cafeteria workers for food or drinks that couldn’t be sold or consumed by students. These items would include food or drinks with expired dates or foods that had been reheated, none of which can be served to students according to safe food regulations.
But according to the settlement, cafeteria employees indeed can eat and drink those expired or reheated items – at their own risk. And they don’t have to pay for them.
The items cannot be sold or given to any other party, the agreement says.
AFSCME members working in the cafeteria however must pay for any other á la carte items they consume.
The settlement was negotiated by Superintendent Mark Ferrara and board President Bill Henwood on behalf of the district, and by local representative Bob Calvin and AFSCME President Tammy Scott on behalf of the union employees.

Suicide
Bob Welch, a former member of Fleetwood Mac who went on to write songs and record several hits during a solo career, died Thursday of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said. He was 65. Story here: http://music.yahoo.com/news/former-fleetwood-mac-member-bob-welch-dead-65-005513069.html
Not to be all philosophical but at one time I would have ranted and raved about the stupidity of committing suicide. BUT, after contemplating suicide my self while in a fairly deep depression over how my life changed dramatically because of the intestinal removal, I now can not only sympathize/emphasize but really understand.
Make sense? I don't think I would have but in all sincerity I contemplated it.

Shhh . . . The President is Sleeping
by Keith Koffler on June 6, 2012, 9:01 am
President Obama’s job keeps him busy, and with the added amount of fundraising he’s been doing in recent weeks, he can often be found “working” late.
Many of us are forced on occasion to work into the evening, but the president is availing himself of an option most of us don’t have: He’s sleeping in.
Obama’s constant fundraising and travel, it appears, is making it difficult for him to get out of bed.
After a hard day of passing the hat around Monday in New York City – four fundraisers in all – Obama returned to the White House at close to 1:00 am. The next day he received the Presidential Daily Briefing – which normally kicks off his publicly announced schedule when he is in Washington and is usually taken by the president about 9:15 am – at 10:45 am.
Obama claims he works Saturdays. But this past Saturday, following a Friday trip to Wisconsin and Chicago that featured an incredible six fundraisers, Obama slept in at his home in Chicago, puttered around the house, and finally emerged at about 11:45 am to stroll to a friend’s house.
He ultimately got back to Andrews Air Force Base at 4:25 pm and headed straight to Camp David for further recuperation.
Obama then made a couple of public appearances to mark Memorial Day in Washington, but he appears to have squeezed in a little holiday time afterward, with his schedule beginning at 10:30 am the next day.
The week before, fundraising took a similar toll on the president’s morning habits, as you can see below.
