Just thoughts on Family and an IPhone

Bought an IPhone 4 S with a pretty Orange and Black case
Which means I finally got rid of the GZone after 10 years.

On the holiday homefront my Brother in law, youngest sister and 3 kids were here over the Memorial day weekend and since they had to go to the Verizon store to get something taken care of we went along.

Verizon was doing their wheeling and dealing stuff .. Told me I could trade in my old phone for just a regular IPhone for FREE.  Yeah well I fooled them I got the 4S so I could have SIRI to talk to.  An extra 50 bucks

Anyway thought this was gonna be easy phone to use being an Apple and all.  Pain in the arse but I got most of it figured out.

Still have to get the Verizon people take my old stuff off the GZone, Best Buy idiots could not do it.  Oh Yeah we bought it there instead of the Verizon store.  Better deal on the 4S.  $50.00 at Best Buy versus $100.00 at the Verizon store.  So money wise it was OK but taking info off the old phone did not happen and it still infuriatesd me about their incompetence.  Going to go to Sam's Club today to see if they can take the stuff off.

I was able to get all my contact's pictures onto the memory card but not any messages.  Some of those messages were from my sister, Donna, from right before she died.  So for sentimental purposes I want them active even though they will still be on the GZone.

One other small item.  I think my sister and her family should learn to mellow out.  Never ever seen such hyper active people and I'm not saying that because I am alone all the time but god are they loud and raucous.

Plus ate too much and my ass paid for it . . You SBSers know what I'm talking about !  ! !

I said I would stop but I can't help myself.........

Another stupid human story:

'The Lord' told 2 women to take nude walk with kids in North Carolina

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (UPI) -- Police in North Carolina said two women taking a nude walk with two young children told officers "the Lord" told them to take a naked stroll.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said traffic delays were caused Saturday when motorists slowed to gawk at a woman in her 20s who was taking a nude walk in Charlotte with her 40-something mother, her toddler and her newborn, The Charlotte Observer reported Monday.

"Like freshly born baby naked," police Capt. Rod Farley said. This was Adam and Eve stuff, not even a loincloth.

The women told officers "the Lord told them to get naked and walk down the street," Farley said.

Police said the women received physical and mental evaluations at Presbyterian Matthews Hospital.

"It didn't appear that they had any problems short of that they didn't have any clothes on," Farley said.

Farley said the women are being investigated for possible child neglect charges and the Department of Social Services has been notified.

Woman attacked sandwich worker over pickles in Massachusetts

QUINCY, Mass. (UPI) -- Police in Massachusetts said a woman allegedly attacked a sandwich shop worker with her fists and jars of pickles due to the number of pickles on her sandwich.

Police said Tina Drouin, 49, ordered a steak-and-cheese sandwich at the Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs eatery at the Quincy subway station Saturday and complained about how it was being prepared and said there were "too many pickles" on it, CNN reported Monday.

"It appeared the Nathan's employee could simply not please Drouin," police said.

Drouin demanded a refund and allegedly became violent when the worker would not return her money. She allegedly punched the other woman in the face and shoved two large jars of pickles at her, causing the worker to fall to the ground.

"Drouin fled from the station, however the sub maker determined not to let Drouin escape justice gave pursuit catching up to her" and holding her until officers arrived, police said.

Amazingly stupid stuff.

Police: Man called 911 80 times seeking 'Kool-Aid, burgers and weed'

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (UPI) -- Police in Florida said they arrested a man accused of calling 911 about 80 times because he wanted "Kool-Aid, burgers and weed" brought to his home.

St. Petersburg police said Jarvis Sutton, 34, allegedly called the emergency number about 80 times Sunday and the arrest report said he told officers he "wanted Kool-Aid, burgers and weed to be delivered to him," the Tampa Bay (Fla.) Times reported Wednesday.

Sutton, who was arrested on a charge of misusing the 911 system, allegedly chewed foam attached to the metal caging in the back of a police cruiser during his arrest.

Sutton was jailed in lieu of $150 bail.

Man accused of stealing skateboard at gunpoint

OCALA, Fla. (UPI) -- Florida police said a 21-year-old man is facing charges for allegedly stealing a skateboard and a watch from a 14-year-old boy.

The Ocala Police Department said Cary Lamar Howard, 21, allegedly approached the teenager, who is visiting the United States from Ecuador, during the weekend and showed the boy he was carrying a pistol, the Ocala (Fla.) Star-Banner reported Wednesday.

Police said Howard took the boy's skateboard and demanded cash, but the boy did not have any money. Howard allegedly took the boy's watch instead and fled.

Howard was arrested by an officer who saw he matched the description of the suspect. Howard, who had an outstanding warrant for violation of probation, was identified by the teenager as the person who committed the robbery, the Star-Banner said.

Howard was charged with armed robbery.

Man loses $2,600 at carnival game, gets stuffed banana

MANCHESTER, N.H. (UPI) -- A New Hampshire man said he lost his $2,600 life savings at a "rigged" carnival game and received only a stuffed banana and a $600 refund for his trouble.
Henry Gribbohm, 30, said he was attending the Fiesta Shows carnival in Manchester and he played a game called Tubs of Fun, trying to win an Xbox Kinect, WBZ-TV, Boston, reported Monday.
"You're expecting the kids to win a few things, let the kids have a good time," Gribbohm said. It just didn't turn out that way.
Gribbohm said he started losing money at the game, which involves players tossing balls into a tub, and kept playing in the hopes of winning his cash back by going double-or-nothing.
Gribbohm said he went home to get more money and had soon lost $2,600.
"It's not possible that it wasn't rigged," Gribbohm said.
Gribbohm said he came back the next day to complain to the man running the game and he was given a $600 refund and a giant stuffed banana.
Fiesta Shows Vice President John Flynn said the game is run by an independent contractor who has been with the carnival for years.
"They've been with us quite a while," Flynn said. "First I ever heard of anything like that.
"I know it's a difficult game. I've tried it myself -- I've done it once, missed probably 20 times," Flynn said.
Flynn said the game has been suspended pending the outcome of an investigation.
Manchester police said they were investigating to see whether any fraud occurred.

April's Weight statistics

Here are the stats for April 2013.  I am wondering where/when the weight will stabilize.  Am starting to feel big yet the reality is that I am still 48 pounds less that when I fell down and played dead.

To be exact:  Since it is now Tuesday 4/30/2013 at 7:55:54 AM  it has been
2 years 9 months 19 days 12 hours 20 minutes 54 seconds or  146 weekends or  1,025 days or  24,588 hours (16,392 waking hours) or  1,475,300 minutes or 88,518,054 seconds.  Since I have had the mesenteric ischemia.

See http://www.vascularweb.org/vascularhealth/Pages/mesenteric-ischemia.aspx

Boston tragedy

Can't believe this is happening!

On a semi-lighter pace/tone.  I think I have become rehooked on the Doom 3 and Quake 4 games.
Boxshot: Quake 4 by Bethesda Softworks

I sincerely think I might buy an XBox 360 for my birthday. Just because - big screen and surround sound ! ! .

On top of everything else my body has reverted back to crapping and hurting.  BUT I believe I know why. Will talk about the why later.

Coumadin check today.

Well, another weekly test on my INR*  levels.  Last week it was 3.0, week before it was at 3.5.

We reduced my Warfarin dosage by .5 mg.  In other words instead of taking .5 mg 4 times a week it was reduced to only 3 times this week.  BUT we also doubled the Vitamin K taken every night.

Besides the above I wonder how my "normal" bowel movement in the mornings are going to play into my levels.

*  The prothrombin time (PT) and its derived measures of prothrombin ratio (PR) and international normalized ratio (INR) are measures of the extrinsic pathway of coagulation. This test is also called "ProTime INR" and "PT/INR". They are used to determine the clotting tendency of blood, in the measure of warfarin dosage, liver damage, and vitamin K status. PT measures factors I (fibrinogen), II (thrombin), V, VII, and X. That is classic extrinsic pathway. It is used in conjunction with the activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT) which measures the intrinsic pathway.  {got it?  picture a smiley face here}

Another weight high day....

Weighed in this AM the same as yesterday.  157.2 and that was prior to going to the bathroom.  AND when I finally did go .... Well I'll get to that in a minute.

When I came home yesterday afternoon, which was around 1 PM or so, I decided to eat.  Didn't eat that much just some meatloaf and beans but my body seemed like it went in some kind of defensive or attack mode.  I ended up going to the bathroom (diarrhea) so many times I started to hurt and which leads me into this mornings movement ( I know . . so gross - but hey I got short bowel)

It ended up being a normal movement and fit the Oprah recognition of a good movement (http://www.oprah.com/own-ask-oprahs-all-stars/Medical-Questions-Ask-Oprahs-All-Stars/2... You know the "S" type of movement.  AND it was about 12" long ! ! ! !

There just is no logical explanation for this...

As for the running around yesterday, got gas for the CX-7, went to Walmart to get milk and a few other items then came home.  I have spent a few bucks in the last couple of days.  Wonder why I feel a little bit guilty?  I would feel really guilty if I had bought an X Box system which I almost did.  I know that would have been selfish but I should have bought one several years ago.
So in a couple of days running around I spent the following:

$195.00 at Sams Club
$ 6.00 at Bed Bath & Beyond
$54.50 for gas
$72.00 at Walmart

You gotta read about this rocket scientist.
http://www.koat.com/news/new-mexico/albuquerque/Suspected-Breaking-Bad-thief-accused-in-another-theft/-/9153728/19705810/-/m5jvl9/-/index.html

And on one of the support group sites I ran across this ... sounded good so I copied it .

..... He (the doctor) told me that he was going to give me the best advice that he had ever given me. "Enjoy life. Embrace it. I have TPN patients who think they're going to die, and they just give up. Don't give up. Live. I want you to take a trip, go out and do things that you want to do. Enjoy every day to its fullest, so that when the end finally does come, you are able to say, 'Good, I'm ready for a rest. I've done my bucket list, and it's time for a nap.' Don't have any regrets."

One smart doctor?
